Through Eclipse Mars, the Java Reverse Engineering was available in the Papyrus extra plugins.

The use of this plugins is very easy: select the classes or packages to reverse, and click "java reverse". I'm using the Papyrus Reverse Engineering Java plugin and am able to create UML diagrams from my Java packages, but when I drag and drop the package into the Papyrus model, it only creates the class diagrams. Packages and classes have been created in Model Explorer. Papyrus is a UML tool that provide very advanced facilities for customizing the tool. You need JDT installed (which comes with most Eclipse packages).
A UML class is created in Model Explorer. Then select "Papyrus Java profile, library and code generation (Incubation)" feature.

Since Eclipse Neon, they are now in a separate Papyrus component, called Papyrus software designer. You can now add it into your diagram. By default, a package named "generated" is created for reverse-engineering.

A settings dialog is opened. Code generation from state-charts is available via model-to-model transformations that are executed prior to code generation (on a temporary model). When you're reverse-engineering via the drag & drop method, you can also choose to display model, packages, and classes / interfaces / enumerations in the Papyrus diagram.
